That's why we chose to go to Udawalawe for our safaris on tour. Here they focus on rehabilitating these amazing creatures, protecting them from poachers and monitoring but not controlling the young ones (aka the cutest things in the world!) Udawalawe is all about conservation and respect. The park’s focus is on protecting animals in their natural habitat—no tricks or gimmicks here. It’s just you, your jeep, and a front-row seat to nature at its finest.

 

 

Ride the Kandy to Ella Train 🚂✨

Brace yourself for one of the most scenic train journeys on the planet. Beats the fast train to London Waterloo ANYDAY! The Kandy to Ella train is an absolute bucket-list experience, steaming through rolling tea plantations, misty mountains, and tiny villages. If you have a passion for photography or you just love a good Instagram post - this is a must-do! If you feeling brave you can even get one of the iconic leaning shots too! How cool are they?

 

Cook Like a Local 🍳🌶

Sri Lankan food is 10/10, and there’s no better way to experience it than by learning how to whip up some dishes yourself. Think creamy coconut curries, tangy sambols, and roti so good you’ll never look at bread the same way again. Join a local cooking demonstration where you’ll learn the top tips and have the opportunity to get hands-on in the kitchen. Bonus?
