As the evening arrives and the whole group is in situ, we’ll heading for some dinner and then maybe even into the bustling Khao San Road for some evening entertainment!
Wakey wakey! We thought a river cruise was the perfect way to take in the sights of Thailand’s capital on our first full day in Thailand! We’ll make our way along the Chao Phraya River, where you’ll explore Bangkok & experience some of Thailand’s amazing heritage. We’re keeping things cultural today and visiting two temples – Wat Arun and Wat Pho. The rest of the day is free for exploring, you may want to try some of the famous shopping in Bangkok - remember your bartering skills!
We are treating you today! When you think of Thailand, you probably think of awesome food, insane beaches and world-class massages - and we're ticking off the third today! It's been a busy few days so it's well deserved. Once we are nice and zen, we'll be jumping aboard a sleeper train for the night to head towards the tranquil Khao Sok National Park!

Welcome to Khao Sok, a TruTravels favourite. We’re not only staying in floating bungalows, but we're also on a freshwater lake, surrounded by a chirping tropical rainforest. You wanted a great adventure...here it is! There are plenty of things to do in Khao Sok, all with the stunning backdrop of the surrounding limestone mountain range.
Get ready, we’re about to introduce you to TruTravels' best-kept secret and our favourite beach in the world...Bottle Beach! It’s quiet, amazingly beautiful, and only accessible by boat. Relax here for the rest of the afternoon and enjoy a bit of volleyball. In the evening, we can enjoy dinner & some cocktails on the beach next to a campfire with our own private fire show.
Your options are limitless today; go kayaking, top up the tan, trek to local viewpoints or enjoy a lie-in. We’ll be collected early afternoon and taken to a local gym, where you can try your hand at a bit of Muay Thai boxing, Thailand’s national sport. Then, we’re off to our new home, where we will spend the final nights of the trip.
Ready to go island hopping? Koh Phangan has some of the top snorkelling spots around. We’ll stop off at some of the best beaches around Koh Phangan, too. Think island-hopping but, of course - as with everything on this trip - it's being taken to the next level! As the moon rises over the beach, we’ll hit the beach bars for one final big night to send the adventure off together.
Today is, unfortunately, check-out day (we’re not crying, you’re crying). But that doesn’t mean this is goodbye forever. We’re here to plan the next legs of your Thailand adventure. Welcome to Bottle Beach and your own little beach hut overlooking the ocean.
This hotel has its own private beach too!! Unreal, right? So you can chill, sip on a cocktail and soak up all the good vibes!
The trip begins in Bangkok and finishes in Koh Phangan.
You will need to fly into Suvarnabhumi (BKK) which is the main international airport or alternatively you can fly in to Don Muang (DMK).
Airport transfers to the start location are not included.

The closest airport is Koh Samui (USM) which is a 45 minute ferry ride away from Koh Phangan. The ferries run regularly. There are also other means of travel that our group leaders will be able to help you arrange.
As of the 1st of May 2025, travellers will have to register for a Digital Arrival Card. Your registration will have to be submitted online within 3 days before your arrival in Thailand. Upon completion you will receive a confirmation email, which will have to be presented at immigration.
No it is not included but we can assist you with booking it all. You will need to get a joint ticket which consists of a ferry from Koh Phangan to the mainland and then a bus to Bangkok. The cost is around £37/USD $47. Please be aware this can be quite a long journey of around 12 hours door to door. Alternatively, you can fly from Koh Samui which is a 45 minute ferry ride away from Koh Phangan however this option is more expensive and would cost in the region of £100/USD $130 but saves time.
The accommodation for this trip is all twin share private rooms. Doubles can be provided upon request for couples.
